MSLK: Thirsty Thirty


MSLK’s Creative Director and Co-Founder, Marc S Levitt, wanted to create smashing materials to promote his 30th birthday party. Occurring just after New Year’s, the party held at a local bar needed to encourage jaded thirty-somethings to brave the snow and gather for one more celebration.

Drawing upon Marc’s personal interests and sense of humor, a graphic with a whimsical play on words was needed. This graphic would brand the event and be used throughout the party.

A logo with an expressive gesture distinguishing the one-letter difference between the words “thirsty” and “thirty” was created. This graphic was used on the party’s invitations and table cards.

The graphic proved to be a charming catalyst for post-holiday revelry and was honored with GD USA’s American Graphic Design Award in 2004.
