MINI Vacation
I swear to you that this posting has nothing to do with the MINI brand. Much has already been written on this blog about their marketing efforts. This posting is simply to showcase the New Yorker’s recent use of multiple covers to convey the theme of travel. Allow me to demonstrate… It starts out innocently enough with a couple on the move wearing the wrong outfit for the geography…
You open the page… and a new cover awaits you. This time, the couple is wearing beach clothes in the jungle (which I’m told is very, very funny.)
Turn to the next page and there’s our couple wearing safari outfits in the arctic. (That’s like totally crazy, right?)
And finally…
Okay, I lied. This post was totally about the MINI campaign to promote their newest offering: the MINI Clubman. Sheri had written about this weird Zig / Zag / Zug campaign in the past. After seeing this campaign for a while, I kinda think it “zucks.”
