MSLK Honored with GDUSA and Indigo Awards

We are proud to share that our work on the Lujo Bar project has received not one, but two prestigious awards: an Indigo Design Award and a GDUSA Award. These honors are a testament to the innovative approach and collaborative spirit that drive us in every project we undertake.

Lujo Bar, founded by Ivonne Padilla and her dedicated team in New Haven, Connecticut, is more than just a brand—it’s a labor of love. Handcrafted in small batches, this minority- and women-owned business has been on a mission to shower the world with love. When Lujo Bar approached MSLK for assistance in revamping their packaging and developing a digital marketing strategy, we knew we had the opportunity to truly make a difference.

One of the key objectives of the project was to ensure that Lujo Bar’s commitment to sustainability was reflected in every aspect of their brand, including their packaging. With this in mind, we set out to create a packaging solution that not only looked beautiful but also minimized its environmental footprint. Our team worked tirelessly to transition Lujo Bar away from their existing plastic packaging to a more eco-friendly paper-based system, utilizing recyclable and sustainable materials wherever possible.

The result? An innovative packaging design that not only captured the essence of Lujo Bar’s brand but also spoke volumes about their dedication to sustainability. Drawing inspiration from the circular shape of Lujo Bar’s signature bath steamers and the way scent gently wafts through the air, we crafted an “experiential” package that delighted both the eyes and the senses.

One of the standout features of the new packaging is its interactive design. Each side of the box is adorned with rich information about the brand, including its inspiring story and the benefits of its natural ingredients. But what truly sets it apart are the strategically placed die-cut holes that allow customers to inhale the delightful scent of the bath steamers before they even open the box. This not only enhances the overall experience of using Lujo Bar’s products but also reinforces the brand’s commitment to sustainability and giftability.

We are incredibly proud of the recognition that our work with Lujo Bar has received. Winning both the Indigo Design Award and the GDUSA Award is a testament to the passion and dedication that went into this project, as well as the positive impact it has had on both the brand and the environment.

But perhaps the greatest reward of all is knowing that our collaboration with Lujo Bar has helped to further their mission of spreading love and sustainability to every corner of the globe.
