Good Sentiment Turned Sour

While walking through Soho I spotted a knock-off of Anya Hindmarch’s “I’m Not a Plastic Bag” for sale by a street vendor. Immediately my blood started to boil. First of all purchasing an authentic version of the bag will only run you a whopping $15 so I’m not sure why anyone would want to buy a knock-off. Secondly the tourists these street vendors are marketing to probably have no idea that this counterfeit reproduction of last summer’s hottest bag was most likely made with very eco-unfriendly practices, thus negating the “I care” sentiment of carrying the bag in the first place.
