Reading glasses are not typically considered sexy — much less something to be envied. Seeking to buck that trend and prove that readers could indeed be youthful, fun, and sexy, MSLK was asked to create a logo and new brand voice to inspire envy in vision accessories.

1. CHALLENGE
An emerging eyewear brand needed a logo to brand their trendy reading glasses retailed at drugstores nationwide.
2. STRATEGY
The name "I envy you" was selected for the brand and MSLK strategized how to turn this clever phrase into a distinctive mark. We created a simple typographic logo using only the letters NVU that could be easily etched on to the glasses.
3. DESIGN
MSLK designed a rounded, symmetrical logo that not only conveyed a friendly brand but also assisted the practical limitations of etching the logo onto the products. This compelling design reestablished the process of purchasing reading glasses into a fun and stylish experience.
4. SUCCESS
The NVU brand has successfully grown into a popular product retailed online and at hundreds of drugstores nationwide.
