Maybelline: Point of Purchase
Challenges The number one global cosmetic brand, Maybelline New York, needed a retail display graphic that would introduce consumers to their new “my color” shade identifying system. Strategy MSLK’s goal was to create a bold design solution that would draw consumers in from afar then lead them to the educational information about the system. We sought to leverage the three parts of the shade identifying system—light, medium, and dark—by utilizing the vertical nature of the available retail space. Design The new shades available for each skin tone were illustrated with a flower of lipsticks. This unique design solution effectively leveraged the shade identifier while connecting with a female audience. Success MSLK’s design solution was well received and successfully stood out across the retail environment.
