Some things you CAN take with you…

While doing a little research on repurposing materials, I stumbled across this bookshelf designed to carry you into the great hereafter. With a little rearrangement of the pieces, the shelves transform into a coffin. Creepy or creepily comforting? Here’s a diagram of the shelf/coffin transformation: This design is from the 2006 Re:Design exhibit in London. From the looks of it, this exhibit showcases some great designers creating pieces that promote environmental awareness.
