Long Island City Starts an Overground Art Movement
Walking around Long Island City’s vibrant Steinway street the other night, I noticed some interesting additions to the standard subway grates. These new undulating raised grates appeared to have been freshly installed, and seemed to spring up overnight. They seemed to serve no purpose other than looking cool, which is fine by me. I would love to know if anyone has any information about these (more shots after the jump)…
