Crude Awakening Burns

Is there any particular reason the people couldn't continue to have their fire effects on while it burned? That would of been an more interresting visual (while we are on the topic of art). Lastly there was supposed to be some additional risen phoenix from the ashes on Sunday to show us the "new day" of worship. Sadly it was just a pine tree laying on the ground. Very clever...NOT!
