Task #1: get located via GPS with the ARTery (BM arts organization) so off I head into the deep playa with a "placer". First thing I notice is that the playa is fluffy, like meringue. It looks hard and crusty but it's really just dust. At times the golf cart can't even make it over the mounds of sand and we are almost tossed out of the car.
